Congratulations to all our Asian small business owners who won the random draw!
The Asian American Federation is happy to announce the list of 100 winners who won our random drawing for $1000 dollar grants.
Thank you for submitting your answers to our Small Business Survey on the impact of COVID-19 on your businesses.
Asian small business owners started seeing a steep decline in their revenues from as early as January and many had to close their stores temporarily before the New York State Executive order on COVDI-19 was announced.
Immigrant small business owners faced challenges in applying for government assistance programs, and found it difficult to access and understand the fast-changing regulations amid the pandemic.
In an effort to assess the difficulties Asian small business owners were facing in New York City, and bring immediate relief to desperate small business owners, AAF conducted a COVID-19 impact survey for Asian small business owners in New York City with funding from a generous grant of 100,000 dollars from the Surdna Foundation. All those who submitted the completed survey, and gave us permission, were entered into our random drawing for a $1000 grant each. The random drawing was held on Friday, September 11, 2020 at 12 PM.
